so my kicker rs 6.5s came to my house via USPS at 1pm yesterday but since they required a signature, they got sent to the post office. the note they left said the ONLY option was to go and pick them up and that they would not come again or leave them at my door without a signature. DO THEY THINK PEOPLE DON'T WORK OR SOMETHING??

so today i drive 30 minutes in rush hour traffic to the post office only to wait in line for nearly 50 minutes (!!!) just for the man to tell me he couldn't find my package!! he said to leave my phone number so that the driver could contact me and arrange another drop off... a person was at one of the four registers the entire time i was in there, doing what i couldn't tell you. other employees left inbetween customers for indescriminate reasons or would stand there sorting papers and bs'ing before calling the next person... everyone in line was miserable. it was even worse than the DMV...bottom line is government employees are absolutely horrible at what they do and should //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

FROM NOW ON I ACCEPT PACKAGES FROM UPS, FED EX, AND DHL ONLY!!!

To add more insult, government employees are paid with tax dollars meaning you pay them to do the shitty job.

ye..i hate usps...they ruined my 400 amp that i bought, then they took just about 3months to process my claim...total BS..on the site, they sed claims are to be settled within 30 dayz....the money finally came, but after i got my lawyer to write a "nice" letter to them...i was sooo ready to sue...usps is SLOW AS HELL...

then again, you're probly there durring shit hours aka busy times......

you wanted the package bad enough to wait through hell instead of waiting half a day and going when it isnt busy......

none the less, it sucks ***. old threads ftl too.....

I'd much rather wait in line for USPS then come home to a destroyed package.

Like I posted in that other thread about the various avenues someone might take when in need of a commercial courier ~

I use USPS Priority pretty exclusively when I ship stuff out.

The only package I have ever sent out from northwest Louisiana that took longer than 4 days was a shipment that went to Saskatchewan ~ including a crossover I sent to Anchorage, AK once.

Generally i think private enterprise does a much better job. But USPS is the exception. In addition to that, it seems like they would be easier to hold accountable.
