Upload to photobucket and send link. Or use yahoo messenger. I think its a 1gb file limit.

Best bet would be to have them upload it to rapidshare or one of those file hosting sites.

If its a normal file, just send it in yahoo messenger. You can send it through an IM. Its pretty cool. I needed an update when I was deployed for a program, and didnt have the hours to download on dialup. My wife DL'd it, opened a yahoo instant message and drag and dropped the file into it. It downloaded quick to my comp there.

If its an uncompressed ridiculously large file it might be more practical to just burn it off and mail it... just another thought if its not possible to transfer through USB/portable hard drive.

Yea, just open up a IM with them, in the IM window click on Actions, and click send a file. It has to be under 1gb or it won't work. I've never had any luck sending ANYTHING through yahoo so I don't know. Every time I send a file it stop's at 99% and say's file can't be sent.

I have had the same issues. Its kind of hit or miss. Maybe like a 25% success. I just try over and over if I want to transfer a file with someone. Its so easy it doesnt hurt to try.
