Disturbing the Peace
Okay, so I normally really can't stand going out to large public gatherings anyway, you generally run into too many assholes, get your shoes stepped on, packed like sardines etc etc... however, it was my girlfriend's birthday last night SO she decided to go to the club... OK, fine.
After about 3 near misses on the highway, we finally get there and discover we can't get in because someone we're with is wearing tennis shoes. We head to another club, which we end up leaving because nobody wanted to go there anyways. At this point I'm kinda frustrated, so we go back to the FIRST club without said tennis-shoe wearer and pay for valet, stand in line for 10 minutes, and they won't let me in because...
I'm wearing Dickies!? I have on a nice dress shirt with Dickies dress pants and boots, and they're letting in little thugs with baggy blue jeans and ratty collared shirts in. I was tempted to ask the guy for his Sharpie so I could black out the Dickies logo. It's completely asanine, like not letting someone in because they have a mustache, or too much arm hair or something. I was thoroughly pissed at that point and swore off clubs for good. I mean it's like they view it as a priviledge to get inside, when in reality it's a business who should be more concerned about the customer. I dunno, my two cents and I needed to vent.
Comments about the club, all you club-goers? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
