i got a problem

i have two 12 inch 08 l7s with a pioneer touch and a kole audio capacitor.i recently blew my amp so im using my friends hifonics.well when i turn my car off my amp still stays warm even after i hours.eventhough the lights on top are of the power green light just stays on. i hooked a volt meter up to my cap after a hour of my car being off and it was still pulling power.ive tried many things to get the amp to turn off but the only way to get it to not kill another battery is to take my main fuse out under my hood.please can someone tell me wat i need to do to fix this.

1) you wired the remote wire on your headunit wrong.

2) you wired the capacitor wrong. You need to get rid of it anyways, get a 2nd battery instead.

3) if your amp is getting warm, you are probably feeding it too low of a voltage and are goign to eventually fry it, unless you do something about your electrical

You shoud have the doctor look at that.It sounds like its infected:(
that was RETARDED.

Turn your car off and check voltage of the remote wire at the amp, if you're getting any voltage at all, it's not hooked up correctly.

i got my remote switch goin to my head unit so when i turn my head unit off just the lights on top the amp go off but my capacitor just has a negative and a positive end and thats all there is no remote wire for the cap and i dont no how to wire one if you could

The cap should just be run parallel with the amp.

+ from battery to + on cap and then + on cap to + on amp

- on cap ground to chassis and - on amp ground to chassis, preferably in the same spot.

I don't have extensive knowledge of capacitors, but your cap shouldn't be draining your battery. It's going to stay charged because even when your amp is off there is still 12 volts running through your power wire, which is normal...

Your problem most likely lies elsewhere.
