I get nothing but bass out of my 6x9 speakers!!

So currently i have 2 subs hooked up in my car and i wanted to add a second alpine mrp-f300 4 channel amp to power 2 infinity 6x9 speakers.i got the amp to work but all im getting out of the speakers is bass!!! I conencted the rca cables coming from my headunit to the 6x9 amp because my pioneer avic-x930bt headunit only has 1 set of rca outputs.but im still getting nothing but bass.why is this.and how do i get both amps connected if i only have 1 rca output

Might be only a sub out. Try going through settings on your head unit.

Is the amp set to low pass?

what setting do you have on that amp.full range low pass ? put it on full range and see

It has two little switches that say off,hp,and lp.i have them both at lp

thats why you only have bass

Set the 6x9 one to off or HP. This will fix your problem.

I tried it but i still get mostly bass.you can kind of hear lyrics but not really

rca's may only output low frequency. try using the speaker wires off the head unit

Thats how i was doing it before but i added an amp to try to make them louder.is their a converter of some sort or something

Line output converter, converts speaker outputs to RCA level for amps.

A filter is on somewhere. Headunit or amp. Find it.
