I feel stupid!!

I tried 2 different grounds both were the same. I tried a ground loop behind the cd player connected to the RCAs still the same
That doesn't mean that either of the ones you tried were truly good grounding locations, friend. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

no that doesn't hurt it unless it received massive amounts of AC power or something(forgot which one it was) its basically the distortion that overheats the subwoofer. Most likely the sub is fine though.

*cries*

Power is the death of speakers...not distortion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also believe you're getting DC mixed up with AC.
