Iv got a subaru wrx sti 2013. If i dont get some kind of bass in it im going to kill myself. Budget is super tight right now but i can afford this factory upgrade. Its 150 bucks which is super cheap. Is this something that will get me by until i get a real system or is it trash?

It'll probably not be too bad but essentially, it's a DSP (which are cheap to make now) with the same final amplifiers you'll find in an aftermarket head unit so, ~18 watts per channel to your mids/highs. The sub amp is rated at 300 watts rms and the sub is an inexpensive speaker.

I wouldn't say it's over priced but it's also not such a steal as you might think.

Sony has discontinued that item, and it appears Crutchfield is trying to get rid of them fast. Normally they don't mark items down nearly that much. I'd call Crutchfield and talk to them about it before placing an order in case there may be some issues with the quality or performance.
