I don't listen to Rap....what test tones should I use?

The subject pretty much says it all. Leaning towards -3dB for the comps and -6dB for my sub.

Also, if I go -6dB and there is clipping, it should only be at or near the volume I set the gain at correct?

Most people use 50 Hz, and I used Audacity to create the test tones.

I know to use 50Hz for subs and 1KHz for comps. Wondering more along the lines of using 0, -3, -6, or maybe even -10dB tones....I guess I wasn't too clear.
