I Don't Know Why You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello. (Pics)

Good work but you are a *** for wanting a giant representation of a failed corporate identity aimed at connecting emotion with a cell phone hanging in your house. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Oh, and I know(think) you are just trying to be funny, but just in case you arent, i will enlighten you on the situation...

SBC owned Cingular. SBC bought at&t, and renamed themselves to at&t. Then the only remaining thing that this "new at&t" owned that wasnt named at&t, was Cingular. They then decided to go ahead and drop the cingular name, and just pursue the future under the at&t name.

So incase you were serious, there are the facts, Bud.

boss lady has a sprint phone. that traitor!
Yea, she used to. We finally convinced her to switch. Now she can talk on her phone in the back room. LOL. We used to give her soooo much hell for that lol. We'd be in the back talking on ours, and she'd get a call, and have to run up front to get service to talk.

Here you can see where it used to hang at in the background of the boss lady hugging one of my co workers/friend.

3 things

1. why didn't you center it over the window?

2. Looks good other than that.

3. added fact for you SBC(which used to be Southwestern Bell) is a sister company of the Original AT&T which then grew and bought the original AT&T.

Um. I know all of that. What Cingular failed to do was reach the public in its intended way from a marketing perspective substantially enough to warrant maintaining its namesake instead of undergoing a lengthy re-branding process.

Yes, the company didn't fail, and gosh darn it, that's totally awesome.

However, that doesn't make it any less gay to have a giant glowbox of a defunct corporate identity in your house. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

...that said, again, nice work, I wish I had that kind of drive to persue pointless projects (not sarcasm).

I do believe there has not been a day go bye where i havent seen a Cingular commercial of some sort. Marketing was not the problem. Money was not the problem. In fact, there was absolutley no problem at all. at&t owned cingular, and simply decided to use the at&t name b/c it was well known.

Lets end this now, and not turn my thread into a shitfest. Thanks.
