You should be worried about it rubbing through to the bare copper strands just sitting there. Put it in some loom and zip tie everything down so it does not look like a monkey did it.

i do. composite intakes have been known to melt:fyi: pontiac's are notorious for bad intakes. im assuming that gm uses the same type of composite for all manifolds. i would run it under the cowl so its not seen. a couple more feet wont make you drop 3 volts.
