I went to a comp sunday, and got second with a 139.5... I have 1000 rms and two subs that are $100 for both and are sealed, backseat in. BUT it was at 50 hz burp. I was in the 0-500 (4ohm) class and did better than ppl in the 500-1000 class. I just did it for fun, and well, it was just that, fun.

ive always wanted to try something like that but I dont have the time, would be a fun little project trying to get some cheap subs loud

it really doesnt sound bad, it gets deep until about 32 hz, which is around the fs, then its just distortion.

A 139 in the kick isn't that impressive with that power, cheapness of subs set aside.Dash, not bad. Head, pretty good.

But, at least you had fun.That's probably THE most important thing.

dont know too much about competition, but that scores seem nice with the ammount of power you have, having a sealed enclosure, and having the back seats up

some guy was just selling 8" (I think) Legacy subs, he did pretty good with like 6 of them. Didnt someone else do pretty good with 4 Xplodes?

if it would have been ported, and the subs didnt fail, it prolly woulda broke 140. Which is my next goal. Also the mic was on the dash, sealed up. First i did a sweep that was a 136 at listening volume (45/62) then a 50 hz burp at 50/62 to get 139.5. I wasnt planning on competeing, but after hearing other competitors set ups, i knew i would do decent.
