I am now an employee of...

You can buy a McD franchise, its $100,000 to buy into a store and McD pays the rest.
It doesn't work exactly like that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
They don't just let anyone into their franchises because they have money. In franchising, the franchisor has to approve of you. They want you to succeed, and have the drive to help sell their products to help make them, and yourself profitable. Plus as the owner, you'll more than likely have to go through training, or what they call hamburger school.

What We Are Looking For Our selection of prospective candidates is based on an assessment of overall business experience and personal qualifications. We look for individuals with good \"common business sense\", a demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop people, and a history of previous success in business and life endeavors. A restaurant background is not necessary. We franchise only to individuals, not to corporations, partnerships, or passive investors.
You'll also more than likely be the one working in the store managing all of the operations. Absentee ownership is not allowed.

Translation: You can own a McDonalds if you are not a felon and are able to come up with 100k, a college degree would probably help to.
Pretty much. I've personally known many franchise owners (seeing as I was doing their fancy smantsy software for them) and have been straight up told what to do if I want my own. I just didn't have 100k on my hands at the time. It also comes in handy if your buddy buddy with another owner. I havent talk to those guys in years though. Was kinda neat to travel all around the country, i've probably been to 600 or so different mcdonalds. There are some real unique ones out there! The train on the ceiling in Austin TX near the airport was kinda cool.

McDonald's has more than 2,400 owner/operators in the United States, and selling franchises is an important part of McDonald's business strategy. The company is very selective in granting franchises, and prospective franchisees need to demonstrate a solid commitment to McDonald's, as well as possess substantial business or restaurant experience and sufficient liquid assets. Only about 1 percent of applicants are accepted as McDonald's franchisees.

Personal Qualifications

McDonald's has minimum personal requirements that must be met by all potential franchisees. These include business experience at the managerial level and a demonstrated ability to develop and carry out a business plan. A commitment to franchising, an understanding of business finance and a willingness to work on site in the restaurant are also important. Potential restaurant owners must also be willing to train with McDonald's for up to nine months before opening their restaurant, and must demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate employees.

Financing

Franchisees must make a down payment when buying a McDonald's restaurant. This is equal to 40 percent of the total cost of a new restaurant, or 25 percent of the total cost of an existing restaurant. This money must be paid using non-borrowed liquid assets, such as cash, securities, bonds or business or real estate equity other than your own home. Before you can be considered by McDonald's, you will need to demonstrate that you have at least $500,000 in non-borrowed liquid assets. McDonald's does not provide financing for its franchisees, so you will also need to arrange additional financing. Most McDonald’s owner/operators have entered the corporation by purchasing an existing restaurant. To open a McDonald’s franchise, however, requires a total investment of $1.06 million-$1.9 million, with liquid capital available of $500,000. The franchise fee is $45,000.

Application

The process for opening a McDonald's begins with your application to McDonald's Corporation. If you meet the company's initial personal and financial qualifications, you will be asked to spend three days in a McDonald's restaurant, working and learning about the business. If the company is satisfied with your performance during this time, you will be invited to a further interview to discuss training and finance.

Training

Before you can open a McDonald's franchise, you must complete a training course run by McDonald's Hamburger University. The training program is conducted in part at the Hamburger University campus in Oak Brook, Illinois, in part online and in part in individual McDonald's restaurants. Trainees must complete a range of learning objectives before they can qualify to own a franchise. Depending on previous experience, the complete training program can take between nine and 24 months. Training may be taken on a full-time or part-time basis.
it's not as easy as you're making it sound as, just cause you have money doesn't mean that they're going to award you a franchise.
also that $45K has to be paid every 5, 10, and 15th year of the 20 year contract you sign, plus you usually have to remodel the restaurant in some fashion, all of which the owner pays out of the cash flow of the business

I was in Georgia last year. They didnt serve biscuit and gravy down there.

Some people who became very famous have worked at Mcdonalds, like Andie Macdowell. You could be the next Andie Macdowell.
Keep your Chicken Mcnuggets crossed, a career in high profile fashion modeling and hollywood might be next you just never know.

One more thing, since we know you from caraudio.com can would it be possible for members of caraudio.com to have friendship benefits.
I'm not talking about anything free, because that's illegal, but let's say I order a 10 piece Mcnugget and 10 more kind of slip in the box
by accident. What about sauce, they charge like 25 cent's for each one, I never carry change in my car and struggle to find a 50cents.

20 nuggets barely fit inside a 10 nugget box, how much sauce do you logically need for 10-20 nuggets?

*Back when I was 16-17 I was a Manager at my local McDonalds*

lol, not the case at the one I worked at but our owner owned like 7 of them. He had a district manager AND a district supervisor that basically handled the businesses while he sat back and made the 'big wig' decisions and collected his profits. Also he was a dick.
