No worse than comparable asphalt-based products, from what I've seen.

I still would prefer a butyl-based product for vertical use or roofs. They may have a butyl version out, though.

Hushmat is a butyl based product.

A pretty good one too.

I got ahold of some recently and was surprised at how thin the foil was, but it was a black foil. I liked that!

good stuff though.

Black foil on your products would be a really nice touch too Anthony. The thin foil is a drawback. The adhesive is nice. If you can get it at a good price it should be fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to use it.

I bought some Hushmat about a year on clearance at Fry's for pretty cheap. I used a couple speaker kits for my rear deck and it seems to be holding up well.
