HU only down to 50hz?

Got a new Pioneer head unit last year, and my SW2 (sub) setting only goes down to 50Hz.

I'm trying to get a new vented box for my subs tuned at 35Hz , am I going to need to a new head unit to do this is, or will it not be a problem?

No. Setting it at 50htz filters out anything above that on the lpf

Doh! make more sense, thought my HU didn't have a LPF this whole time *facepalm

For hpf anything below is filtered out fyi

if it has a high pass that is front/rear rca's and speaker outs only. The sub rca's are not affected by this
