hmm, after watching a few KiCKER SYSTEM videos... i was shocked, cuz what they own is like different from what u guys are saying.. u guys all have these good subs and all that shit but all the videos i saw.. they got like a single 12" L5 and they are wanging the **** outta that shit.. i dunno.. its like really hard to explain what im trying to say....

what im trying to say is.. im going to far then what i cant handle.. i think one 12" or 15" L7 would fit me perfect.. i dont need 2 15s or 2 12s.. its like im wasting money or some shit but ill leave the rest of the comments for the rest of u guys

im planning to get a single 15" l7.. ported.. fully spl

but i dont know how my box should be built.. or what kind of amp i should use..

what ohm should i get? 2 or 4? and why? im lost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

It's really all up to you what you want to pay for and what kind of output you can listen to comfortably. Most of the people on here that recommend a pair of 15's or 12's need that much bass because our hearring is that bad. If installed properly a Single 15" L7 would be more than enough output for someone who still has 100% of their ears.

If you get a Dual 4 ohm sub, you will have a better chance for upgrade as you could just add another one, rewire them and get a 1 ohm mono load. But you will need an amp that does ~700-800kw @ 2 ohms.

On the other hand if you don't intend on addnig another one I'd get a Dual 2 ohm woofer so you could wire it to 1 ohm, and then get a 700-800 @ 1 ohm mono amp.

get your ears tested.

i thoguht mine were getting bad cuz i wanted more and more... turns out i have exceptional hearing (tested every year through work)

ANYWAYS I would get a dual 2 ohm if you are going with a single 15" L7, that way you can get an amp that does good power at 1 ohm.

He could also get a 2 channel that makes good power bridged to 4 Ohm mono. Would be completely dependant on what he could find that fits into his budget, I reckon.

you have a very valid point their mate.
Cannot beat the orion 2500D for the price/power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
True, true.

A 2500D may be a bit much for a just-starting-out novice, though.

Inexperience + 2500D + L7 likely = blown subwoofer soon after speaker wire connection

i noticed alot of you guys own subs that are over 1kw.. and thats alot too me..

my friend has a mtx system that has 700 watts (350rms) and thats load enough for me..

so a single 15 l7 (1k min) is already enough.. ill prolly get the 2 ohm (thanks for the info), thats all im planning to get.. notthing esle..

i was also planning not to buy a HU because id ont think i need it.. because all im looking for is SPL, deep bass... i own a pontiac g6 2006.. i think the stock hu is good enough i dunno, hook some info on this if u can..

on the amp.. i still have no idea what to get.. i would like to get kicker amps but they cost too much.. im looking for something thats about.. 1k watts or around there.. or anything thats ENOUGH for a single 15 l7..

box- prolly ported.. notthing special unless im missing something here too

get a lineout converter and you can use your factory deck. I personnaly do not like using factory decks but to each his own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

orion 1200D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i thin there is one in the classifieds

Box is the most important part...If you got the Dual 4 you could run the kx1200.1...heard great things about these amps

You do not need to have a credit card to buy off of eBay. Every reputable seller I have ever dealt with gladly accepts money orders //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
