Hows My Packaging? Returning Amp

So I baught my 3rd refurbished Kicker ZX700.5 from the same dealer on ebay. The first 2 i had i loved to death, but sold when times were tough. Anyways i baught another one and this one sux. Got it all hooked up and only 2 of the 4 channels were working or at least the one gain knob wasent working and i wasent getting any response from those 2 channels, and it had a buzz or winning sound.

anyways i called kicker today and got all the info needed to return it. Hows my packaging? i had to make a custom box since i didnt have the original and took pics in case UPS decides to get crazy. figured id share!

Bad packing job...

I'd get Styrofoam and rip off pieces and wedge it in there.

Packing peanuts won't do anything at all.

i would find a bigger box and throw that box into it and some stryfoam and more packaging peanuts around the first box.. what if the two boxes tapped together break apart?

Now wrap that box in bubble wrap and put it down in a bigger box willed with bubble wrap and packing peanuts.

I usually get a much larger box and fill it with packing peanuts and styrofoam and then wrap the amp in some bubble wrap and a blanket around that, which I haven't used in years. I have tons of them, lol!

Seems the bigger the box and the more stuff around it helps protect it more. If something pierces your box, then it will get to it quick and you only put a little bit of packing peanuts in there. Need a lot more than that.

And this is usually if I don't have the original boxes with their packing stuff. I usually keep all that stuff now.

Put that box in a bigger box and give it at least 2" of clearance/stuffing on every side.

well its too late to add anything else cause i already dropped it off at ups. im pretty confident that it will be fine. kicker shipped it to me in just a single box with cardboard holding it into place.

if you shake it and you hear something or feel something move.... then it's bad packaging.
