how to unlock ipod touch

I think the only way to do it is to fully restore your ipod. Plug it into a computer with itunes installed, hold down the lock and home button until the screen turns black, then continue to hold the home button for another 10 seconds or so. Itunes should say your ipod is in recovery mode, in which case you would hit "OK" then hit "restore" and you can use your ipod again

yea it's as easy as downloading Itunes and then resetting it which is slating it clean and then just restarting and reloading it with your music.

Kangaroux is right. Maybe you didnt hold it long enough or something. I know when I did mine it was a total pain in the ass but I eventually got it. Then jailbroke it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Ps. if you do jailbrake it, download the game "stupid zombies" its addicting...or so I thought it was anyways

Btw a google search really will help you find your answer. I considered buying one of Craigslist that was locked until I really thought about it.

If you get a good enough deal, buy it. Its not really all that hard. And yes, google it. read a couple of different ways people tell you to be sure you fully understand what they are talking about. I know I was ready to throw mine in the river there for a few mins!

Google "Jailbrake ipod greenp0ison" and it'll walk you through step by step, but likewise. Read one or two and watch a couple videos on youtube about it. It'll be worth your time, and really makes your ipod alot funner to mess with, if you ask me. Along with it, youll end up having to download Winterboard and Cidia, but youll see that in the videos Im sure.

I have a couple neat/handy things, I guess you would say. Like, my lock screen (where you have to swipe to open it) stays lit up for 20 seconds, I have a yellow battery bar, with a XX% display, instead of the standard green one with no numbers. Uh, a bunch of apps you cant usually get on an ipod. Theres so much crap Iv done, I cant even remember what I did do. Im used to it and cant remember how things came from the factory. Oh, and I'll try to take a pic of my lock screen if I can and post it for you to check out.

So basically, yes, it will take a little while to do. But it is very very worth it if you ask me.
