How to test a coils inductance

I have some old pioneer speakers. I need to replace the crossover but I wanna keep the original crossover points. So I need to know what size coils and caps. The caps are obvious , all you do is read the values and buy newer ones of the same value. But how do I test the coils so I know what type to replace them with?

If you don't have an LCR meter you can setup a wheatstone bridge.. but you will need an inductor of known value along with a couple of non-inductive resistors and a few other items such as a dmm, amp, and tone generator..

Why not just desolder and reuse the old inductors? Its not like they go bad over time like capacitors can... that is unless they were overpowered and burned up.. ?
