how to mount capacitor

If he wants to use a cap let him. He didn't say it was for dimming issues...

Caps do have a place in the car audio world.

Go to Home Depot and pick up 2 aluminum brackets. They have a bunch of holes in them for different screw positions. And a very flexible.

or this if you want to mount it through the floorboard

I'll give Home Depot a shot tomorrow. I was originally planning to buy a batcap but I had no luck finding a used unit. I couldn't afford a new one cause I spent all my funds on the box, subs, amp, wire, and the misc small things. I'll eventually pick one up on my next 2-3 paychecks or so.

I got this cap for 20 bucks hoping to reduce dim issues. I have optima yellow top under hood and big-3 done already.

caps were used back in the day in compitition when music was used insted of bass races and test tones. in todays car audio setups where much longer bass hits are comon caps are not much use but then again two batts dont get it either. having a big enough alt to keep your system at 14.4 under a heavy load is what it takes along with the big three. the cool thing about caps and new car audio people is that most caps have a volt meter on them so that you can see what your charging system is doing under a heavy load.
