How To Make A Webpage?

I need to revamp my father's website and I only know basic HTML. Well, I don't need to, but he'll pay me good money to do so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Here's the website:

It's very basic, it was created a LONG time ago. He wants to add pictures and more information and a nicer layout to make it way more attractive. I'm guessing I need to learn XHTML? Maybe CSS too?

What's the quickest way to learn this stuff? Is it very difficult? Could I learn and create a decent website within a month?

I purchased a domain from them for 9.99 for 1 year. I thought it caame with hosting, does it not? I'm not sure where to go from here ugh

You are going to need a hosting plan. I would not reccomend getting it from godaddy as its a little over priced.

I use cirtex hosting which I really like check that out. There are some other good ones out there as well.

Where are you guys seeing free hosting? They give you a free parked page but I do not see anything about hosting being included where you can actually upload your own site etc.

You have to buy hosting, I think everything cost me $50 total. (search for Godaddy coupons on google, I got 25% off). Then you go to "Manage hosting", then there's a link somewhere for a little applet you use for your FTP to upload the pages/images for your website.
