Save the file in your documents and transfer it to a disk...Just not as a DVD file. I think you can covert it to another format..I think that will work, Anyone else know?

Edit: no one said anything then by the time i was done this Everyone did...Lol

look at that, i made a sig, haha, but i would jsut use winrar to convert the videos into rar's, then burn them onto cd-r's and transfer them over

or network them together with windows home network

i'm sure the same can be done with a mac, but i don't have personal experience

or set up an ftp server on one of the computers, and log onto it and download the files on the other computer

if they're both at the same house, the above two would be the fastest

This is by far the best way in my opinion. You don't need a router or hub to do this. Go to best buy/circuit city etc and tell them you want to plug one pc into another. There is a special cat-5/6 cable that will do this. Very simple to set up a home network on winXP then you can share whatever you like.

I believe they are called serial crossover cables or just crossover cables. If you ask for a crossover cable for a pc to pc network, they should know what you are asking for.

They look exactly the same though.

1. Go buy a crossover cable from your favorite store (radioshack)

2. Plug this cable into both computers

3. The folder that houses the videos...you want to share this folder. Right click the folder, check sharing and security, and share this folder on the network.

4. Find out the computer name of the host computer by clicking Start, right click my computer, and select propterties

5. Click on the computer name tab

6. Once you've found out the computer name, write it down or remember it, and go to you're girlfriends computer and do this:

1. Click start, then run

2. type this: \\mylaptop (this being said name of your computer)

Now you should see all shared files on your computer.....

Now just drag and drop files anywhere you want on your gf's comp

PM me if you need any more help
