how to get 2 jl 12w3 in audi q5

I love it, I occasionally miss the having the size of the Tahoe, but i couldn't handle 13.7 mpg anymore. Not to mention the q5 has enough space and drives like a sports car. Just need to get these 2 12's in there now and the windows tinted and i'll be set
Well you could have gotten a Q7 if you wanted more space. But then those MPGs would be garbage again. I bet! That to me. Is the biggest let down about american cars. They seriously have garbage handeling. Even the corvette still uses leaf spring, and the mustang uses a live rear axel. Makes for some pretty boring cars to drive.

Which german brands (in order) are best... in your opinion?
That would be subject to opinion. I don't think I could answer that. But I can definitely say that Mercedes has never been known for there reliability.

If it helps you out. Ever single person in my family has a BMW except 1 of my brothers. I have a total of 5 siblings including myself. Only my oldest brother doesn't have one. And my dad is dead, but my mom has a bmw.

I really can't give you much of an answer because it all depends what you are looking for. For instance. i really like my jetta because it is SUPER AND RIDICULOUSLY easy to work on. I did my head gasket from start to finish in less than 5 hours (and I am not a mechanic, I just followed the book) My brother did the head gasket on his suburban with the aid of a chilton and he has WAY more experience than I do. And lets just say. It sat for a few months. LOL.

That is the other bummer about american cars. There manuals to work on them are garbage. How are you supposed to fix anything with a Chilton manual??? That manual is so bad I would not even use it for toilet paper.

European cars have Bentley manuals. And the amount of detail is insane in them. I have diagnosed every single problem with my jetta by just reading the Bentley.

We have a 06 Jetta GLi, chipped, turboed, and nearly all plastic (all that we can) are carbon fiber. It's the first time I really found a car that was simple to make fast like a Honda. It's probably the fastest car I've owned, and it's got pretty nice interior. Working on it as far as audio goes... it's a pain in the ***. They did not design this car to have you run your own speaker wire. Plus it has 10 speakers stock? The only problems I've had so far is that it doesn't like low octane fuel, at all.. which might have to do with the change in compression from when we added everything to it. The window on the driver side door went out (the red wire between the door and frame split in half, it was a simple fix)

But I'm looking for something new to have fun with. How hard are the BMW's to work on, audio wise?

I'm not a fan of honda. Civic owners ruined it and I don't know of any honda's...that are "fast". Dude. Post up some pics or PM me to some of your Jetta. I personally don't pick cars based upon speed. Whatever gets me up to speed on the freeway is good enough for me. But I still do like it when people do stuff to there cars. Yeah the germans are not exactly known for there electrical work.

Why would you run low octane fuel anyways? I put 93 supreme in my 22 year old stock 4cyl jetta and my 31 year old bmw. Supreme burns cleaner, so it should leave less carbon build up in the engine and increase MPGs since its more efficient fuel.

If I am not mistaken. A common problem I have heard for the newer jetta/bmw's is the windows. My brother in law is a BMW mechanic in Austin, Texas and he said that is a common problem.

I have no idea how audio would go down in a BMW. Ask 007. He has a nice set up in a 3 series. And there are 2 other guys on this forum. Once has 740i or 750i in his username.

My bmw is bone stock for audio. It's strictly my summer car and I want it as light as possible. The jetta is the winter salt work horse.

I always wanted to do a set up in a Volvo. the 240 volvo in the early 80s has a lot of chevy parts in the engine (power steering pump/rack) and some other stuff. And because it is so boxy and huge. It would be a sick car to get loud. Or for your case. You could do a 740 since they come with a turbo model. or just swap a newer model motor into one. My brother in law had a 88 740 and he put in a 93 or 99 turbo 2.5l and a mustang transmission. He had fun with that for a while.

If you are looking for speed. FWD would be the last place I would look. RWD or AWD is definitely the better option. I hate how much body roll and how little traction my FWD car gets. But the bmw. Oh my god. It is just so much fun even though it is slow

I'll get pics when it's light outside. I'm hoping to get it painted soon. I'll try and get one driving it too. It's funny when kids in their Hondas or suburus drive slow in front of me and try to speed up when I pass like they want to race and it's a joke.

I'm really not into it for the speed, just like to make it run a bit stronger than stock.

Ok cool. The car sounds like a sharp looker. Can't wait to see pictures of it.

My brother in law said he had that problem all the time. One time in his volvo and his daughter in the back seat. He had a mustang pull up next to him and start revving it...How stupid. Needless to say. The mustang was left behind.

He now owns a 540i. So he went from a 300hp turbo car. To now a 300hp N/A. It is more reliable which is why he picked it up.

It is hard to leave cars stock. Because we know we plan on owning them for a while. And we all like to personalize what we own.
