I built a 4 cube box tuned to 33hz for Two AB XFL 12's. Turns out, I don't really like it tuned that low, haha. I was thinking about building another box and I think I want a sealed box. I've been seeing a lot of guys going forward facing and sealing off the trunk. I've always fired mine back toward the taillights but I think this might actually sound better. Would I just build a Sealed box and then make the front panel exactly the size of the opening to my trunk from the back seat? Would I be better off building a slot port box and tuning it to a higher freq. Maybe 45hz? I'm not really sure which way to go on this. The current box has a 5" wide slot port to one side and the subs share the same chamber. I want to get the most bang for my buck. I've got a big trunk (Intrepid) and I think I'm losing SPL bouncing around back there. What do you guys think?
