How to dampen these doors?

1999 Buick Park Ave Ultra. The front doors are covered with a plastic sheet weather seal that seems to be glued on. The 5.25" main speaker screws into what appears to be a plastic panel.

Questions:

1) Will I destroy the weather sheeting pulling it off?

2) I have some Raamat 60 left from a previous install. Should I stick it on the plastic sub panel or to the inside door skin or both? GM put some fuzzy white fiberfill or something in there, I could see it through the speaker opening.

3) Any tips on getting this right? Midbass is rather poor and before I go blaming the Morels I want to optimize the install.

Thanks

Are you ampin those? The weather sheeting gets pulled off. Some cars it will pull of in 1 peice if careful some come off in pieces. I currently have these in my doors with no deadening yet and the midbass is very good. With 125 w rms feeding mine per side they beat the crap out of my doors.

I applied a couple layers to the inside and a couple layers in place of the plastic. I used a piece of wood to cover the large openings to help support the mat. There was certainly a difference in the sound after the deadening.
