I grabbed a bootleg copy of oceans 13, the file is called

"Oceans.13.(2007).DVDRip.XviD-MoTOR"

i have the newest roxio software and i want to burn this to a dvd so it can be recognized by my dad player. how can this be done?

and what is the difference between VCD, DVD, and SVCD?

how can i check what kind of file it is? the last part of the name says divx engine but i dont think thats the file type and when i click on properties it the files type just says "VLC Media Player" file (I use vlc as my video player)

well basicly, you will likly need to use roxio or whatever, when it asks for the video file select that file and then follow the program prompts and burn it

one thing you can do to see what type of file it is, would be to go to the properties, but if its only showing vlc video, in the folder the file is in, go to view, and then choose details and see if it gives you the file type under the "type" field. should say like avi or something along those lines.

you may want to check out ulead video studio or Ulead DVD Workshop.

drag, drop, switch to 120 min

WAIT for conversion

and burn
