I loaded up a pic of the amp specs. I just got it yesterday. this is an NVX VAD17001 "mono block" and I'm using for subs a pair of new NVX 10" that say 1000 watts RMS (sorry don't have a pic of those on my phone) I'm an older guy but still love my bass but tech is not my strongest .. umm ... I'm dumb lol you guys have helped me hook up and figure a bunch of stuff out over the last couple years so just looking to lean on everyone's knowledge if that's ok. what would be the best way to hook up these 10's to perform safely? Meaning.. I don't have top of the line stuff and not trying to win any competitions but stuff like 1 ohm, 2 ohm and 4 ohm... I don't even know what that means lol I read something about running 1 and 2 ohm set ups can create heat that can overheat amps and stuff like that. I just want to hook it up and have an amp that can push these 10's safely. I've tried a few cheaper amps with these subs I had laying around and ... they don't move these 10's. they are some seriously stiff speakers. I've hooked them up to a Punch 800 watt amp and a Memphis cheaper amp and it ... ya they couldn't move these speakers. I think .. THINK I hooked them up correctly at 4 ohms. Any advice would be appreciated and thank you guys for any input... you guys always rock when i post in here. oh and I have these subs in a ported box that is matched to the makers specs which if I remember correctly is 1.1 cbft. I bought the box so it should be solid and support the requirements.
