How much should it cost to get sub boxed?

I want to buy a 15" RE XXX sub and I was wondering about how much I should expect it cost to have this sub put in a box, and then how much to have it all wired, just so I know I'm not being ripped off. Thanks a lot, guys.

phreak what johnecon is trying to say is that to have it professionally installed it will cost a fortune. You could do it yourself. Look around the box building threads and stuff, see what other people have said about 15" XXX's and the boxes they are good in. Ask someone first hand who has a 15" XXX (there are a bunch of people on this forum). I can almost guarantee you, if you researched up a bit, have basic math skills, and can use a tape measure / tools, you could install your entire system yourself, and it would cost you like 1/5th of what you'd pay for it at a retail store.

look fellas, thats nice and all, and most of us do build our own boxes, but he is asking how much it would cost because he doesnt want to...Phreak-I would expect it to be around 150-200 for something good...

Well, to actually have them build the proper box needed to fit your car. (DO NOT DO PRE-FAB it will REALLY ****!!). So, since you didn't buy the sub from them...and they'll have to custom build you a box...and install it. I suspect MUCH more than $100-200...more like AT LEAST $200 up to possibly $400 depending on your shop. Shops aren't cheap...especially considering it wasn't bought from them, and the proper ported enclosue for the 15 is not small. Do it yourself...ask around...ask questions...it's easier than you think, and it'll save you a shitload of money. peace
