Does solder add to speaker wire? Im contemplating covering the tips of speaker wire inside my box with solder so that the speaker wire doesnt become frazzles and untwisted where you gets wired up to the terminals. I figure it will help keep the tips together and from oxidizing the speaker wire.

 
Any connection adds resistance, the best connection is no connection. second best is a soldered connection. I wouldn't even bother to worry about how much it adds.

The main concern is a solid connection. The minute resistance that a soldered connection will add is nothing compared to the various connections in the rest of the circuit. The typical high wattage sent to any speaker makes it even less important. Having a loose connection is the worst kind to have. I would consider twisted on wires to be a loose connection, no matter how tight they are.

 
Im talking about the speaker wire that goes from terminal cup to speaker + and - push style terminal inputs. Im considering adding solder to the spade terminals on the terminal cup as well rather than the spade terminals.

So your asking whether or not to solder the connections or use the solder-less (crimp connectors) connections that are already on there? solder is a better connection then a crimp connector.
Did I understand that right?

ahh I think i understand this part, You mean tin the leads.. I think. In the case of push terminals and bare wire, I would not. it will cause the wire to be stiff and the push terminal will not be able to compress the individual wire strands to fit the shape of the terminal hole. leaving the wire bare will give you the best connection in this case because it will allow greater surface area of the wire to touch the push terminal.

This. I wouldn't do it with just those spring loaded terminals, you won't get that great of contact...
