wassup people how much power do you recommend putting into a 15" kicker L5 at 2ohms that will give it power so the sub POUNDS but at the same time also be safe ...if can give me a link to an amp that is at a reliable website or somthing...but im actually thinking of getting this amp > http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6522.html not online but at one of my local car audio store with warranty...thanks ahead of time

I recommend 2000W, so when you blow it you'll have reason to get a sub that doesn't ****.
thanks for the support....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

id be safe with it tho. the age could be a factor.. i was going to buy a 12" l5 (got 2 12" comps instead) and was going to power it (underpowered) with a kicker kx400.1 -- i put it in to see how it would sound, and it slammed. underpowered. i gave it about 450 watts... the 12 i belive is 500wrms so the 15 maybe be around 600 or 700. if you have the 15 already, do some research and find its nominal power range. if you dont.. save the time and money, get 2 12" l5's from hifisoundconnection.com -- ojnly 80 bucks now. get 2 kx600.1 amps and run them each on its own amp. would sound nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif -- i was going to do this. but im in dier need of new mids/highs and an HU. after that im definatly going back to the 03' L5's -- theyre amazing.

yea well the sub is going into my brother's car he wants me to do research because i know more then he does but this guy who works at one of my local car audio shops tried to sell us this soundstream amp instead of the hifonics > http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2076.html and just bridge it so the sub can get 880 watts you think its a good idea or should i just go with the hifonics amp?

id go with the hifonics, it was 800 @ 2ohms correct? wouldnt be to bad. might be a little underpowered but a 1 or 200 watts wont kill you. 800 will still slam. im still amazed at how loud mine is on only 400 watts. 200 watts per sub. and it gets low, and loud.

Rms is like 750 right, on some clean power and good box it could handle a good bit,I have ran a1000wrms give or take to a 12 L5 and 02 for that matter,I would buy a pa 2400/1800 or something of the sorts to power it,hope this helps.

yea thats what i was thinking, like i said. i thought it would be around 600-700wrms for the 15 L5. i only have experience with the 10" 03's tho. i belive those are 350-400wrms.
