How much did you spend?

you also have to take into account that not everyone on this forum is in HS ( though most act that way) and can afford to spend money on their family etc. Some of us do have real jobs;)
I am an adult and have a real job, yet still think christmas presents are horseshit. For the kids, yeah, buy it up...for adults though its usually just about exchanging useless shit just for the sake of tradition/courtesy

Neither bitter nor broke....I don't have any kids, nor have kids in my family. I do get something for my parents, but that is because my mom won't adopt the no gift policy. I think next year she might do it.

I only spend the money for the reasons duece said, its pretty awkward if someone gets you a gift and you have nothing. I'd have no problem with the fam havinga no gift policy, more money to save and or be selfish with:)

Giving gifts among adults is retarded unless it is meant to be meaningful and not just to be nice (ie. to a girlfriend or something)...might as well exchange cash instead and you can each buy what you actually want to, or better yet...not give anything...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

to kids is another story, nothing wrong with that.

built my sister a cheap laptop for her to use when she goes back to school. built mom a decent PC from stuff i had laying around (mostly). like i said, you don't have to spend a lot of cash
