it's true, a bandpass filters out the mechanical noise of the speaker fairly well, so it would be hard to notice a driver bottoming out, so damage could happen without any warning.

my jensens are in a totaly uber wal mart bandpass box with a 300 watt amp... pree much the most awesome thing ive ever heard in my entire life.....

lol jk my cousin put the jensens in there and they pree much sound like shyt... if shyt could make a sound.

its just like the pic. i never knew that about the problems with bandpass. my buddy told me that they were good to have. they seemed to have worked great for me got them from an online dealer. and im looking to sell them but dont want to rip anyone off.
