This is for my curiosity.I come from a generation when a 50watt amp sounded like a monster!I came from the dawn of the car audio craze. In the early 80's Rockford Fosgate is the one who started it all...I came into the picture just a few years later.I come from an era when you got way more than you paid for.I remember Rockfords punch series(45,75,150hd an non HD)and who can forget the power series...the power 300,650,and 1000.You cant even beat the old power series today.I also remember the sound quality. It was good clean raw power. There were alot of other car audio Equipment Gods then besides Rockford.I came from the era that set the road for USAC and IASCA.Now a days, the younger generation hasnt a clue.I was born from a time when "its never enough".Always striving to reach new levels.Ive changed systems SO MANY TIMES its not even funny...All because I love music, sound and want to experience it all.Anyone else here from this TIME ERA?I would love it if someone could just relate Im constantly trying new products and doing my own review.Sadly,I cannot try everything...Im not rich LOL!But also, when I was competing,My spl was also done with high frequency and not just low hz.I Example,I had 4 -10 inch subs and 18 mids and highs in a rodeo and scored 141 on highs(not sure what frequency was used) and 139 on the lows.Maybe it was done different then.I remember going to shows and the the sounds that came from the vehicles were phenominal! Not just a bunch of BASS or BUZZ SOUND for spl?It was a spectacular sound crystal clear with air movement beyond imagining. The cars would sound like a rolling thunder along with a symphony orchestra. You would feel the wind BLOW 20ft from the vehicle easily with crisp sounds and no vibrating sounds. Not like all these youtube videos you see.Its hard to explain unless your were from this era."Sigh",they just dont make them like they used to anymore How many from 1980 to 1985?
