how long would you wait for a package before filling a claim

If you bought something from someone here with refs. how long would you wait to file a claim?

The person will not give me a tracking number when I have asked for one he does not resoponed or just says its on the way

It would honestly depend on the person and how comfortable I felt with him.

Example...If toasted said he shipped it Parcel with no Delivery Confirmation, I would wait 3 weeks. If you, OP, said the same, I would file immediately. No disrespect, I just dont know you that well.

if you won the case and he had no money in PP, you would be fukked. If you paid by CC, you could do a chargeback.

I'm not making excuses for anyone, but I have been very slow on shipping and getting information to same of the guys that have bought from me. I am very aware of the frustration that this causes because I have also had it happen to me. I will say that a public calling out seems to work rather well. I wouldn't freak out until you do some of that first.

Ya I have never done bussness with him but every person I have sold on here I try to ship out within 24 hours and get a number to them within the same day

but if there is an issues like got off work late or whatever I would tell someone

If this guy ran into some problems it would be ok but he says it was shiped but wont prove it and he is only 600 miles away

Yes, if file a complaint and he shipped you a box of bricks and has proof you are screwed. If you pay with PP via CC then you can take it up with your CC company and have them deal with the paypal assholes.

Indeed, it really all depends on the user, the references they have and also what they sold.

Shit has been crazy around here lately, to give myself some piece of mind I would probably go read back through some feedback threads to hopefully help me sleep a little better at night... you did read feedback comments didn't you?

I wouldn't consider it dragging his name through the dirt, I personally would rather deal with it here than have a a refund done through PP. Is it possible he doesn't understand how frustrated you really are?

I dont really know I have sent him a few nice emails nothing came of tonight a I sent him one asking Why he does not respond if there is something going on ect and I said if he does not send me a tracking number I will file a claim
