How do you get a songs title to show?

You need to include the CD Text info. Google for something like "CD Text Nero" or something like that. I know in K3B (linux CD burner) I just select "Prefer CD Text" and it handles the rest so it shouldn't be too hard to do.

a little off topic.. but it irritates me immeasurably that all store bought Cds dont have the track info.. I mean how much can it actually fukking cost to include the track info?! They charge $20 for a fcking CD and then dont include the track info..and then wonder why people pirate music..

I buy CDs, then copy them with CD Text, then play the copies. It benefits me in that I get CD Text, and if they get stolen, I'm out like $0.20 / copy.

lol i just mean in general.. not you in specifically..

the lame *** record labels b!tch and complain that people aren't buying as many CD's.. yet wont actually try to get people to buy Cd's by offering improved content/format.

I agree. DVD audio bitrate and encoding rate sound might help kill the harshness of digital music to an extent.

EDIT: That and it's a lot harder to pirate a CD if the image of it is 4 gigs and not 800 megs. =)

because there is still something nice about having a store bought copy.. the liner.. the physical object.. to me its worth it to have the case on my shelf and something to hold in my dirty little hands.. but i still think the friggen record labels should at least try to improve their god dam product!! Instead of just complaining and suing their potential customers

don't know if you got your answer yet, but i was having the same problem, trying to figure out why my pioneer premier deh 770mp wasn't showing text, turns out I just had to hit the "disp" button.

then it switches through 3 modes, Cd artist, Song title and visual display

Like im burning songs to CD's but i wanna know how to make the title of the song show on the headunit instead of track 1. Any ideas?
Like others have already stated it will depend on what specific burning utility you use as the actual method will vary from one to the next.

I use Nero and no, it's not automatic as jeepinintn suggested (at least it's not in the version that I use). In the burning dialogue that you have to go through before you tell it what songs to include on your playlist there is a clickable option for "Burn CD Text to disc" or something of that ilk.

Click the box and to make certain that the title is as you prefer after you put whatever songs you want in the playlist rightclick on the titles of each and scroll down to "Properties" It will show you title, artist, etc and you can leave it as is or change it to whatever you want to display on your HU.

These instructions are applicable to Nero and may not be appropriate for any other program. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
