How do you edit threads after they're posted??

I have a for sale thread posted from a while ago, and some of the stuff is gone already, I want to delete the sold items from the thread title so that people aren't under a false impression, how do i do this?? I posted like 3 weeks ago...

You can't edit a thread title after it's already been posted, I don't think. If you can the method to do so is unknown to me.

You can edit your actual posts within a thread provided they're fairly new. I don't know the actual time limit but I do know once posts are three weeks old they cannot be edited.

Ask the mods to delete the thread altogether and begin a new one containing only the item(s) that are still actually for sale.
