How do I take the motor apart from the basket on my MT 18?

I am in the process of ripping apart my junk MT and potentially have a buyer for the motor, but I dont see any bolts from the outside looking in on the speaker. Do I have to rip the spider and everything out of the basket to get to the bolts or whatever to take it apart?

Insight would be very appreciated!

great thank you very much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif time to get out the razor knife //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what a pain in the ***, every screw is pretty much stripped on the head from over torquing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

just sent it to fi for a recone and sell it for the price of a brand new one (slightly used). that way you dont' have to deal with the screws and the buyer will already have a recone done.

Most likely he'll make more money just selling the motor. Shipping to and from Fi, plus the recone would be a big hassle.

i already have a buyer lined up, i just need to get the **** basket off the motor. piss me off to no end. I may try some vice grips, never know...

If he just wants the motor dremel off the screwheads and hopefully leave enough screw that you can get a good grip on them with vice grips maybe? Just a thought, never tried to take one apart before...

Got a few so far, nothing special as of yet. Just got it last week, so I;ve been fixing stuff like the windows, door seals, seatbelts etc etc....

But here's where it'll all be at:

Gonna start out with the basics on this car and work my way up from there...I pretty much have all the gear I need, so it'll be all installation this time. Just need to get some sound deadening, wire, a set of rca's, and if I feel frisky, an alternator from a 94 and up. 130amps>75amps. I want to do the big 3, but with the way the alt is, it may be more like the big 2..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
