I only have the red top and it is used as a starting battery. I have a single 2 channel amp in the car as well. I actually swapped out a JL 300/2 for an old Crossfire amp. I did notice that when I turned off the car, it took a while for the power light on the amp to fade off. The car sat for about a week with no use and the battery died. I might have a drain but I'm not sure at this point. I just needed to know what charger to get because I wanted to try and revive this thing myself. I don't have time to go to Autozone and leave my battery there. I guess I can get the second charger I linked to and trickle charge it and then use the alternator tester part when the battery is back in the car.
