How do i file my taxes?

This will be the first time filing my taxes, i would guess last year i made probably 5-6k taxable dollars. Decided to file my taxes this year mainly to get used to doing it, also heard if i file i get teh free obama moneh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif Still havent got my W2s, theyre apparently being mailed right now, so im still waiting on that. What kind of hints do you guys have as far as getting the most money back? I dont have any dependants, and ive claimed 1 on my taxes for both jobs in the last year. I heard that if you make under a certain amount you get all the taxes back that you paid in? Well, i did mine online this year... at Taxact.com.. if u have no deductions.. your gonna get back what ur gonna get back... and if u only got 300 bucks last year for rebate... put that in and you will get an extra 300 dollar credit.. i payed in about 2k into fed and got 1,585 bucks back with Taxact..

Everyone that filed taxes in 2007 got a Stimulus Rebate check... it should of been 600 bucks for single people.. but if u didn't get 600 and got 300.. well this rebate credit will give you the extra 300 you should of got.. its called a Recovery credit.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you worked in 2008 and made atleast 3,000 im sure you will get it. and taxact is simple.. its hard to mess up.. id do it yourself if you just got fed and not state.. its Free.

Incorrect, neither I nor my parents got it. If you are a claimed dependant, or if you made more than a certain amount of money you don't get the recovery check.
