Sorry my first post is a question but I wondered how these sound before I click "Add to Cart".

I play my music very loud at times but mostly moderate volume levels. I have heard great things about other CDT comps but I was wondering if any one had experience with these upstage 6.5's.

Thanks in advance.

Haha, If a speakers is fit to reproduce sound it will play any sound well

You can leave the rest up to EQ and your xover and slopes and so on

I have the HDs, and I love them, they reproduce sound quite well

Midbass is nice, but its midrange is its strongest point

The DRT 25 tweeters are very nice a subtle

A very enjoyable set

They sound great! Will reproduce music stunningly! If you have any extra money you should try to get the HD-62s with the M6 midbass. You will be astounished to say the least! More midbass than you can shake a stick at! For the money only like 50.00 more, it is well worth it!

Agreed. I have the HD62's and just got the M6's and im thinking of going with the HD4's for the midrange and using the M6's in place of the stock speakers in the door with the drt 26 tweeter set.

I have 150 x 2 @ 4 ohm which is enough for a HD 62 set but not enough for the 3 way set probably.

Even my CDT CL series I'm overpowering and they don't distort at all (and I do listen loudly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif ). I love CDT.

Well I think I am gonna go with the CDT 4 ohm 12's, I am gonna run 4 in sealed enclosures. They are 600 watts RMS and 1200 max. Also single voice coil.

Any suggestions on amps for the subs and components.

Also will the subs overpower the components. I am running two sets.

Which subs are you looking at getting, the hd series? Just give those HD components enough power and you will be suprised at how loud they can actually get! They can take a pretty good beating. I would give them around 200w rms. I had mine hooked up to about 300w and they loved it.

For amplifiers, what is your budget, and do you have anything in paticular that you are interested in?
