How come when I open a thread it opens in the middle pages?

Like if it is a 20 page thread it will open on page 10..Its driving me nuts. I have went to my user CP and tried to fix this but I cant find anything that changes it..How do I fix this?

I hate when you scroll all the eay to the bottom then something loads and it takes you back to the top.

Then you have to scroll down again.

Very annoying.

Wait for the page to finish loading and that won't be a problem.

i just end up pressing "stop" on my firefox browser. i find it easier lol
