How can you tell what ohm you are wired to?

Today I finaly installed my system(except for new speakers and raammat):

Kicker 10" 05, L5 in kickers ported box dual 2 ohm

Kenwood KDC-MP328 headunit

Orion 600d(not hcca, but chrome model)

Stinger 4awg wiring kit

I ran the power wire, grounded the amp to the chassis, ran the remote wire, and finally the rca's(all the easy stuff), but had my firend connect the sub and set the gains(around 3/4). It sounds really good and rattels the **** out of my trunk and rear doors in my 1999 nissan maxima and is going to force me to buy some rammat:yumyum:

How do I know if he connected the kicker 10" l5 @ 1ohm since it is a dual 2ohm sub?

haha dont pull the sub out, take your dads DMM and test the resistance in the "speaker wire" going to your amp. if it does not read 1 ohm, or close to it, you need to take the sub out and switch the wiring.

beat me to it, the easiest way is to check at the amp, then you will know the true resistance by using an ohmmeter (DMM)
