how are the Orion HCCA-D5000?

anyone using one? i have and orion 2500D and i think i might have to sell if cuz i got some tickets to pay and my subs are blown, so i was thinkin if i should sell the amp and buy another one down the road or switch it up and get the D5000...

Nahh man... they aren't worth the money, and I just blew an HCCA D1200 and the problem with those amps is that they use a solenoid switch for protection which is a cheap way to handle that the same goes with the larger amps, the d5000 isn't all that great, you can get a strapped pair of Sundown 1500D's doing around 5000 rms for the same price 900 bucks so I would look elsewhere.

the solenoid can stick either on or off and it's soldered to the board, the solenoid is the audible (click) you here when turning the amp on or off.
