What are your experiences with Excelon HUs?

How do they compare with the compeition(partcular Alpine and Pioneer)?

I think I want an 859 now.....

Also, can the motorized face be left open, when I turn off my car?

I like them a lot

Compared to the ''93 alpine...I'd have to say the alpine

Just a cleaner and more system ready headunit.

But I love my mp919, so if you like the way the kenwood feels and handels, then go for it.

It is a more than capable headunit.

you can disable the feature so it stays open when you turn off your car instead of retracting.

Yeah, the face can be left open if the option is set so. I will be getting a Clarion VRX815 soon, and I have a Panasonic CQ-DF600U deck that I am using now. Anyway, I have a used Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X759 that I can sell you for $130 shipped. It's just laying in my closet because the person who was going to buy it backed out. Let me know if you are interested. Sold As-Is.

What sort of warranty comes with this deck? Will you guarantee that it works perfectly and give the buyer a 30-day window for a complete refund should they decide that it just doesn't match the color of their vehicle's interior or after they have had sufficient time to break it?

It would also be great if you would allow them to pay 1/2 of the sale price up front and then the other 1/2 at the end of the 30 days should they elect to keep it. And this all needs to be in writing, witnessed and notorized.
