how are craftsman lawn mowers?

God you're an idiot...you used the word "dope" when talking about a mower.
Any mower with a honda motor is just a honda with a different deck. Seriously, just shut the fuck up and log off before I kick you off here.
...and no..they still add on some of their parts to it...but w.e u think

I like how that mower looks all fancy and shit.

Back before the my mom hired mexicans to cut our grass, we had a basic non-bagged toro push mower. Thing was fun to use.

I don't like Craftsman mowers. In my experience they're cheaply made and you have to buy most of the replacement parts from Sears, which was very inconvenient for me. I wouldn't pay $500 for a push mower anyway.

I've used quite a few different 21" mowers as commercial back up mowers in case my gravely failed and for tight spots. I never saw much of a reason to buy a commercial 21" mower, so I always bought good homeowner equipment. I'd say without a doubt, my favorite thus far have been the high-end homeowner toros. i've used mine for the past four years and have yet to have it start past two pulls under light commercial use. I've used several pieces of Craftsman lawn equipment and it was all junk. What's you're budget?

The older lawn boys did a great job as well, but honestly I really dislike the newer ones. I don't like the deck or the wheel design. They're very light, though. I haven't used any John Deere mowers, but I hear good things on the lawn forums. You might have a hard time finding a dealer close to you, though.

And no, a homeowner 21" mower will not cut grass knee high unless it's sparse or you barely nudge it along.

Do Not Get a CRAPSMAN mower, and do not be dumb enough to go to home-depot or lowes where you pay like 15% more just cus its being sold at the BIG store. Get a Honda and if your actual lot is smaller then an 1 acre Man the Fck up you dont need a rider! Honda makes some dam good self proppeld push mowers. Then again you can always pay a bum 5 bucks and doublemalt colt 45 to do it. Lines might be a bit croocked but the $h!ts cut!

Have had a TORO personal pace for over 10 years now....gramps has been through 4 craftsman mowers in that time. The Toro is one of those guaranteed start on first pull onesand it actually does too, even after 10+ years:D

BTW....I have tried the O.P. mower and it sucked for straight lines.....it wanders all over the place.
