hooking up power to a 97 firebird?

got a 97 firebird, and i cant find a place to hook the power to the alt, i can see the battery real easy, is hooking it to the pos battery ok, or is there a place to find the alt?

You want to hook the power wire to the battery, not the alternator. Is this for an amp install or big 3 upgrade?

its an install

then hook it to the battery

for an install, you always connect the main power line to the battery.
