Did you charge it before you installed it? Anyways the negative wire coming from your cap should be grounded to the chasis. The negative wire from your amp should be ground to your chasis. Dont connect your ground wire from your amp to the cap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gifAlright I have never installed a capacitor before so I needed to know how to do this...mainly just wanted to see if I got this right!?
I have a distrabution block on my car but I only want the cap for the sub amp. It's a 1.5 Farad.
So I connect the Power cable from the distrobution block to the cap (Positive). Then connect the power cable to the power (positive) on the amplifier. Then I take the ground wire from the Amp (negative) and connect it to the cap (negative) then take it from there and put it to the chasis. Is that 100% right? I wasn't sure if that was completley right cause somethin' doesn't seem right.
Please correct me if you can!?!? Also if anyone have like a diagram or some kind of picture that would be greatful. It's going to be hooked up to my KX1200, those things drain power like crazy. Already have the alternator upgrade.
