yea i was thinkin the same thing...150+ i **** good for a sub that is not a 15 and those 1000/1 are POS's i owned a few of em and they **** power like none other and dont put out rated power....

most dumb people think that just because its expensive then it must be good..but we all know thats not the case...i own a 12w7 and dont get me wrong its a fudging block beater..buts thats all it is a Street beater w/ descent SQ...i love my sub but iam not about to go to a DB Drag so i could get laughed at for hitting a 141 on a 900 dollar sub...the only reason i have it is because i got it for a crack head price....now iam selling because i dont need a street beater..i dont even listen to my music loud so iam getting some atomics whenever i sell this......the only people that make W7s look bad are the ones that say or clam how they can make 1000db....W7 are not very good SPL comp speakers..there is a difference between a sub that hits loud and a sub that hits hard...W7s hit hard not loud

Give each 12 1500watts and tell me if you think its loud.. cus 500 > 2 12 w7 is just stupid... Why would u underpower them, and was your l7 broken?

I guess you didn't read my post, I traded my l7 and $200 for these w7's, they only thing is there were slight tears in them but I easily fixed them. Since there ****en svc 3 ohm, I got them wired to 1.5 ohms, and with independence rise and all that I figured I'd sell my Us Amps Md2, and find 2 1200+ watt amps I can strap and run, so thats why I decided to go with a pair of Lanzar Opti1400d, I heard they do rated power, and I'm only a really tight budget, I only had 500 watts on them just to see how they sound because this is my first time messing with some w7's

The 1000/1 doesnt do rated power? Do tell how you came to that conclusion.
It does...and that is about it. It does it inefficently too. Great for the electrical system.

It is the only 1000w amp you need a new alternator and a yellow top to run. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

^^ JL Hater...

First of all, it does a lot more than rated power and its built like a tank. Granted its not very efficient, but if you have the money for it you can afford to make it work.

I agree with both of you. Not very efficient at all.

But if you got the funds, who cares if it takes a lot of power to run:D

But personally I REALLY like working with effiecient equipment. Prices may be a little higher for some of it, but you make it all back when you don't need to spend as much upgrading your electrical system.
