Due to a money situation and no time to ride, I am forced to sell my dirtbike. This bike has been my loyal companion for the past 5 years. I have babied it and taken VERY good care of it. It is a 1997 Honda CR250. The motor has been completely rebuilt for race performance. The stock crank and rod has been replaced with the Wiseco Hot Rods crank/rod. The cyclinder has been replated and ported for more performance. The piston has been replaced by a Wiseco performance piston. All gaskets were replaced with Cometic Gaskets. I have put Pro Taper handlebars on with the wide bar adapter kit. Comes with an extra Pro taper handlebar that is slightly bent(can be bent back but I never took the time). New rear fender and side panels and comes with an extra sidepanel. New throttle body recently put on. Newer Michelin tires with plenty of tread left. I have also installed a Pro Circuit Factory 304 silencer. Also comes with a Twin Air performance filter. So lets run down the amount of money put into this bike. I bought the bike for $2000, engine work done $1500 for the replating and porting of the cylinder, additional $1000 for the rebuild, $300 for both pro taper handlebars, $80 for new plastics, $100 for Michelin tires, $35 for the Twin Air filter, $50 for new throttle body, and $110 for the Pro Circuit Silencer. Thats over $5000 in performance mods. That does not include all the oil changes( which I usually did every other ride), and other parts I have replaced along the way. This is honestly one of the fastest 250's I have ever ridden. Also included in the deal is a used pair of Oneal size 13 men boots and a Thor racing helmet. Now for the down falls of the bike. The seat is a little worn, could use a new seat cover but the one on there will work fine. The front radiator shrouds are worn, could use a new one on the left side but works fine as is. The front brakes are a little soft, they just need to be bled which I will probably have done by Friday July 27. Last thing to note is the stock exhaust pipe has some dents in it but does not hurt performance at all. Considering the $5000+ I have put into this bike, this is a GREAT deal. Trades are welcome, so make me some offers. Asking $1900 local pickup. Depending on where you are located, I may be able to meet half way.
