I've built a home theater sub using an Elemental Designs 13OV2 sub and LT550 plate amp. The enclosure is tuned low for a combination of home theater/audio use. It's great for music and sounds beautiful. But, it's not afraid to get down (waaaay low) and dirty if you decide to crank it when you're having a large party; I have the noise violations to prove it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The enclosure is very well built and the finish on it is very good. I won't break my arm pattin myself on the back but I think I did a **** good job. I also should add that the amp is basically brand new and only about a month old. I had an LT350 and it died on me so I upgraded last month.

Bump for a nice set-up, if I didn't have an M&K MX-350 I'd jump! I've told a few friends, we'll see what happens, either way, good luck (nice build).

NICE job on the sub. Should hit pretty well and will crush any HTIB sub...
What's the new set up going to be? You doing another DIY sub, or have you looked into EPIK?
I'm doing another DIY setup. What is EPIK? (EDIT: Google owns)

I'm using two Peerless XLS 12's in dual sealed enclosures. It should help the sound not be as localized in the room. One enclosure for each side of the couch. They will serve as two end tables too when they aren't cranked.

(sneek peak, not even close to done yet)
