Who would believe it, honesty in politics? Is it possible?

Before today I would not have thought so. When you have a government which allows the retard of the classroom to become President, I thought the American people would be forever doomed to drown in a growing ocean of corruption, crime, and apathy.

Or perhaps I was wrong.

Enter Mike Gravel, a democrat who is going to be running in 2008 for President.

For what he lacks in a massive, corporately-funded account to spend on his campeign, he makes up for in genuine desire to create legislature for the benefit of the American people, not lobbiests, and actually speaks TRUTH, something which has been long since extinct in politics.

I want this guy to have a chance in the running, so I am passing the word on about him personally, something that I have never felt the urge to do before now. The ideas he suggests are brilliant and are based on superior, established, and successful bills which have been used with positive results by european countries. He is brilliant and understands what everyday Americans like you and I want;

Check out the two video below for a excerpts from a debate and an interview on c-span:

I believe Mike Gravel is something more then any candidates that have been around for the last two decades; a lone voice of sanity ringing true to the beliefs of the Founding Fathers of this country. Its time to elect someone who cares about this nation. Hell, he was the single senator who fillibustered and won to end the draft for Vietnam.

We can make "lightning strike". We do have a voice, I'm using mine right now. Sure corporate clones are not supporting him, but that does not matter as long as the people do. I have chosen to spread the word to this forum, those who go here also have other forums that they call their own.

I am finally registering to vote JUST to vote for Mike Gravel.

Spread the word.

Mike Gravel 2008 FTW!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

So where does he stand on the bridge to nowhere in Alaska that they want federal funding for?? They all have pet projects that look out for the intrest of friends rather than the tax paying public.

Congress allocates federal funding through appropriations. The President can only suggest those allocations.

An idiot LSU Baton Rouge student who apparently is from my hometown made threats about killing Hillary when she comes to visit our state capital during her campaigning trip.

He is now a guest of the state on $1mil bond.

Idiot.

Hillary for president? She has a fairly strong following but I don't think it will be enough to see another Clinton in the White House. Not this election cycle anyway...
